Wowey Zowey!!! That is one Beautiful car! Brilliant photograph in front of the Flying A Gas Station. All that's missing is you with your waterfall DA haircut and short sleeved pin stripe button down shirt open at the neck of course with a neatly tucked box of cigs in your rolled up sleeve and tight blue jeans. Ahhhh, those were the days my friend! How lucky are you to have this in your garage since you were 14, Wow!

Doug Gist replied:

OK Susan, you got the vision, ha ha. Never smoked, had short hair always, t-shirts for this kid and it was Harbor Blue in high school! Worked too hard outside of school to have time for popularity but I did love my car as did a few others. Wow, long time ago!

Artist's Description

My 1957 Bel Air stopped in front of a vintage service station in Truckee, California. The 57 Chevy has always been my favorite and this car happened into my life at the age of 14, both the car and my age, lol. It is still with me and we both seem to be holding up well! This is an award winning photo and one of my favorites.

IN A WORLD OF ART CREATED BY COMPUTER, I HAVE DIGITALLY HAND PAINTED EVERYTHING IN MY GALLERY UNLESS NOTED THAT IT WAS DONE IN OILS OR IS OBVIOUSLY A PHOTOGRAPH. Thank you for visiting my online gallery. Although I have painted in oils and created through so many other means, I paint and draw digitally today. I want to stress that I created by hand all of my artwork that you see, as though I were using a brush or pencil in hand. With the AI trend today, I feel it is important to stress that I do the work on all art, not the brains of a computer! If when you first cast eyes on my artwork, seeing it brought a smile to your face or heart, well then I have found success! I draw, paint and create in a way that puts a smile on me, so of...
