I attended a number of annual memorial ceremonies at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington DC. Each time there was to add a friend's name to the memorial. That experience was sobering to say the least. I painted this work in oils following one of those visits and from several of my photos taken while there. The memorial had postcards made of this painting and sold them through their gift shop for a number of years.
